$16 000 in drugs ‘for use in cooking’
A MAN WHO PLEADED GUILTY to having $16 000 worth of drugs told the court yesterday that he was using the drug for cooking and health purposes.
And though he pleaded in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday for a chance at redemption, Dwight Ramon Mardona Edwin, 28, of Gaskin Road, Fairfield, Black Rock, St Michael has to spend the next week at HMP Dodds.
The storeroom clerk admitted to charges of possession of cannabis, trafficking, cultivation and intent to supply.
During the execution of a search warrant at his residence on October 18, police found 14 plants under cultivation in his yard. He quickly admitted that the plants were his and he was taken into custody and charged. (TKS)
