POSTAL WORKERS hit the road yesterday – not on the job but for fun.

The fun walk, which started and ended at the Oistins Post Office in Christ Church, was part of the celebrations surrounding World Postal Day.

Acting Assistant Post Master General Joann Busby said the event was to provide an outlet for workers who wanted to socialise in a familiar setting.

“It is intended to foster camaraderie and togetherness because the organisation is quite large, with more than 500 staff members scattered across the island,” she added.  (Barbados Nation)
