Four Bees in battle

ALL EYES WILL BE on the St Michael North West constituency when the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) holds its final nomination meeting tomorrow evening.

Four candidates are expected to be in the contest hoping to get constituents’ support to represent the party whenever the next general election is called.

Yesterday, one candidate, Neil Rowe, was tight-lipped and declined comment on any issue, including even stating his occupation until after the contest. Another candidate, Michael Harris, could not be reached as even party officials had no contact details for him.

However, 76-year-old Mark Williams was trumpeting why he deserved another chance, while the lone female, Marsha Hinds-Layne, was hoping her work in the area would help secure the nomination. (ES)
