Wallace sees no insularity in Windies cricket
WEST INDIES cricket isn’t suffering from insularity.

The Barbados Pride chairman of selectors has once again defended his team’s decision to lean heavily on local players by saying Bajan cricketers are among the best in the region.
“I believe the number of players we have in Barbados at the moment are as good as any out there and I think we have demonstrated that as there are players who have been able to play for Barbados by going on to the higher level,” reasoned Wallace.
“Not so much this draft, but last year’s draft there were five selectees for Barbados playing for other franchises, so again it demonstrates the depth in our cricket.” (JM)
