WATER IS FLOWING from the taps in St Joseph and some surrounding districts again, but residents, though grateful, say they are watching to see how long it will last.

Since late last year, residents of several districts had to contend with intermittent water service, but yesterday from Upper and Lower Parks to Chimborazo and Lammings, many said they were happy to rest the arms that bore buckets daily, even though the discoloured water that flowed from their taps was a concern.

Supermarket cashier from Lower Parks, Sophia Griffith, said she opted to only use the water that passed through the filter at her home and though some suggested boiling the water and freezing it for reuse, she was not prepared to take that route.
