Plenty to celebrate in November

IT WILL BE a November to remember.

The start of the penultimate month of the year is days away and promises to be action-packed from November 1 to November 30, to celebrate Barbados’ 50th year of Independence.

Things started earlier this year but the pace intensifies from Tuesday, the start of the month, when the 50th Anniversary of Independence Lighting Ceremony will take place in Heroes Square.

The Government has allocated $7 million to cover the month-long celebrations and private promoters have also pulled their pockets to make sure they feature prominently on the calendar.

With 13 items on the official calendar released by the secretariat, everything in November seems to be centred on a party-like atmosphere and November is beginning to look a lot like July in the closing weeks of Crop Over.
