ST JAMES CENTRAL did their chances of qualifying for the round of 16 no harm with an entertaining 4-2 win over Christ Church West in the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic at Briar Hall on Friday night.

A first half brace from the speedy Damon Ifill helped to secure three points against a spirited Christ Church West.

The result put St James Central joint top of Zone 6 alongside City of Bridgetown, who have played one game fewer.

In the nightcap game, St Michael South Central thumped ten-man home team Christ Church West Central 3-0.
