THE NATION UNION of Public Workers has summoned all environmental health officers to an emergency meeting.

It will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the union’s Dalkeith Road, St Michael headquarters.

No reason was given for the meeting.

However, the NUPW has been up in arms over the reversion of its president Akanni McDowall to the post of environmental health assistant after acting as a health planner.

The union said McDowall had been been replaced by a junior unqualified officer and argued that it was a case of political victimisation. (PR/NB)
