CHARGERS FINALLY scored their first victory of the Goddard Enterprises Limited Division One Women’s Volleyball League on Monday night at the Bond, Kensington Oval.

The breakthrough came in Chargers’ fourth match. With former Barbados captain Thonya Joseph and Daneka Headley leading the way, they defeated Club United 25-11, 25-14, 25-20.

The poor passing by Club was exploited by some great serving by Chargers setter Dashonta Addison. Even with Barbados libero Janina Mayers in their line-up, Club passed the ball like novice school players, which made life miserable for substitute setter Kimoi Jones. (KB)
