DERELICT VEHICLES DUMPED throughout Barbados have become a disposal headache for the Government.
They are not only an eyesore but a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes that threaten the health of residents, according to Minister of the Environment Dr Denis Lowe.
The minister told the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday of a growing trend of vehicles being abandoned all over the country, some of which are sitting on lands that do not belong to the vehicle owners.
He said the problem was “very bad” in his own constituency of Christ Church East but was equally troublesome in the entire island.(GC)
