ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite has described the comments by president of the Barbados Prison Officers Association, Trevor Browne (below), at their annual general meeting Wednesday as being out of order.

Speaking yesterday to the SATURDAY SUN, Brathwaite said he was prepared to address the grievances of the prison officers and prior to the meeting he had asked Browne to provide a list of all the issues the association wanted addressed, after which he would respond to them in 30 days. trevor-browne

“After his presentation I then said to them, not only do I want you to write to me, I am giving you permission to copy your correspondence to every prison officer and go through all of these issues,” he said.

When asked why the media was removed from the meeting, Brathwaite said he did not agree with the way Browne went about it. (TSG)
