After outplaying and outclassing southpaw Skeete, who has just turned 50, Roach 65, was outlasted 22-20,19-21, 22-24 as everyone then stood and applauded the living road tennis legend.
Employing the chops of a table tennis great and the serves of a master, Roach created a high degree of fear for Skeete. Roach won the support of everyone as he threw his aged and heavily bandaged body around the court to recover some seemingly unplayable balls. (KB)
