ST STEPHEN’S won their showdown with Charles F. Broome 2-1 in the lone match of the Julian “Michael Jackson” White Zone 5 of the Cave Shepherd/Berger Royale Primary Schools Road Tennis Tournament at the Rubis Sports Club, Brighton, yesterday.

The winners for St Stephen’s were Azarie Clarke, who defeated Tristan Clarke 21-14 and Mikhail Grant-Bennett, who triumphed 21-16 over Ryah Dates, the first girl to compete in the tournament this year.

Charles F. Broome’s lone win came from Brendon Walters, who beat Suave Clarke 21-19 but the Government Hill, St Michael school will still advance, along with St Stephen’s to the Round of 16 as only two of the six schools in the zone turned up to play. (EZS)
