EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, Reginald Farley, wants Barbados to hold talks with United States President-elect Donald Trump while the iron is hot.

However, Minister of Industry, Commerce and International Business Donville Inniss is making a general appeal to cool it.

Trump, the highly controversial Republican candidate, won the US presidency early yesterday morning in a stunning upset over the heavily favoured Hillary Clinton, a former first lady and secretary of state.

Trump’s statements, particularly on immigrants and international trade, had come in for major criticism and even consternation both in the US and internationally. (JS/WILLCOMM)
