THE LODGE SCHOOL’s distance athletes weren’t just fighting back but fighting on yesterday.

The “Griffins” swept the three boys age groups on their Society, St John home circuit in Zone 3 of the Barbados Secondary Schools Cross-Country Championships.

Lodge, displaying their depth, won the first-formers race outright but shared the senior boys’ glory with Christ Church Foundation after both schools gained 38 points from the places of their top-five runners and the Under-15 Boys’ honours with St Michael, each earning 40 points. (EZS)
