Fun for all!

THE NATION FUNATHLON was not just fun and games for some – it was all-inclusive.

This was apparent as close to 10 000 ended the 5K walk and run at Queen’s Park after making their way through the afternoon sun from the Garrison Savannah.

The build-up was an event in itself. Participants got their muscles loosened with the infectious rhythms from the likes of Stiffy’s bashment soca hit Tek Off Something and Marzville’s Bang Bim. And with the instructions to Hypa Sounds’ Bam Bam Back, everyone went forward to the commands of gym instructor Ariel Johnson during the warm-up session.

Radio personality Kevin KB Kleen Hinds with his eclectic banter intermingled with the walkers and runners, and did what he was best at, bring smiles to the faces of everyone. (TG/MR)
