ANOTHER BARBADIAN is steaming over the quality of water coming through his taps.

The resident of Waterhall Terrace No. 1, St James, has accused the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) of supplying dirty water to the community. The man, who did not give a name, called for the BWA to urgently investigate and fix the long-standing issue.

His complaints echoed those of some residents in the rural districts who reportedly receive discoloured water.

As a result of the “brown” water, the St James resident said he has had to purchase four external filters in recent months, with each filter costing him $43.15. He added that while the filters were supposed to have a six-month lifespan, they were only lasting two months, suggesting that the water contained an excessive amount of debris. (LT)
