ST THOMAS and St Michael South kept the dream alive on Saturday night as both won 3-1 in round of 16 action in the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic.

St Thomas advanced on the back of some excellent all-round play, with Shaquille Stewart and Nicholas Griffith both scoring their second goal in as many games.

In the 8 p.m. kick-off a Bayville, home side St Michael South thrilled their large crowd with a come-from-behind win, thanks mainly to a brace from DeCarlo Jemmott and a moment of poor judgement from St Michael East veteran midfielder Tyrone “Eck” Dickson.

Dario Blackman opened the scoring as early as the 13th minute for St Philip South when he rose to power a well weighted free kick past Anthony Rollins in the St Thomas goal. (ML)
