Registration open for new nursery school at Oldbury

GOVERNMENT’S NEW NURSERY school, which is scheduled to open next year at Oldbury, St Philip, is now taking applications from members of the public.

 The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has announced that the school, The Maria Holder Nursery School (Oldbury), currently under construction, will open in January 2017.  It will cater to students aged three to four.

Parents interested in applying to the school are asked to note that their children should have reached the age of three by January 1, 2017.

Registration will begin on Tuesday, November 22, and end on Friday, December 16.  Forms are available at the Ministry, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael, and may be obtained from the Reception Desk, Mondays to Fridays, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Each completed registration form should be accompanied by a copy of the child’s birth certificate and national identification card. A passport sized photograph of the child is also required. (BGIS)
