Foundation girls triumph

FOUNDATION girls were outstanding, winning two of the divisions in the Secondary Schools Cross-country finals at Harrison College last Friday. 

Foundation won the Girls’ First Formers’ run over 1 600 metres with 53 points. Springer Memorial were second with 76, followed by Alleyne with 79, Harrison College 107 and Parkinson 206.

Layla Haynes of Harrison College was the overall winner in a time of 5 minutes, 41.3 seconds. 

Laquan Roach of St George won the First Form Boys’ division, clocking 5 minutes, 29.08 seconds but it was Parkinson Memorial who were top with 50 points. Next were St George on 84 with Coleridge & Parry third with 108. (AT)
