Mixologists steal limelight

THE PIRATE SWIZZLE and Scarlet Affair starring Jamaal Bowen. Among The Stars starring Ryan Adamson, and Hickory Dickory with lead actor Dameain Williams.

These are not the names of movies but of cocktails concocted by the aforementioned, award-winning Bajan mixologists at the Taste Of The Exotic event. It was part of the Food And Rum Festival hosted by the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. on Friday night at The Barbados Concorde Experience, Christ Church.

While there was a stand-out roster of local celebrity chefs who are experts at conjuring the best flavours from ingredients, their co-stars, the mixologists, stole the show.

With six tables at a one-stop exhibition of creative, colourful culinary concoctions, each chef was paired with a main mixologist and other bartenders that were kept busy serving up exotic drinks. (NS)
