ST MICHAEL SOUTH twice came from behind to stun St Thomas and bulldoze their way into the final four with an exciting 3-2 win when the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic continued at Passage Road on Monday night.
A brace from Tristan Parris proved the catalyst for the thrilling comeback win despite the in-form Shaquille Stewart also bagging a couple for what will be a desperately disappointed St Thomas side.
In the night cap, home side City of Bridgetown held their nerve to advance 4-2 on penalties over St Andrew after neither side could be separated at the end of normal or extra time.
St Thomas took the lead in what was brilliant game to watch as early as the ninth minute. A sweeping ball switched from the left found Kevin Scott, who then collected and played an intelligent ball back across the area for Stewart to thump home and establish a deserved lead for St Thomas. (ML)
