Run on rise

THE INITIAL post-mortem looks good.

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. chief executive officer Billy Griffith likes the direction in which the Run Barbados Series is heading after this year’s festival reported a rise in entries right across the board, including the full marathon.

Griffith made the assessment just moments following the conclusion of the series that witnessed a record turnout for yesterday’s half-marathon.

“We’re extremely pleased with how the event has turned out, as we had great weather all four days, the organisation of the races was extremely smooth and we’ve had record attendances in all of the races,” he said. (JM)
