DARIAN KING will be giving his all for Barbados. No matter the captain.
He may be sad to see Kevin Yarde go, but the country’s best player has already committed to throwing his full support behind new Davis Cup captain Damien Applewhaite as Barbados prepares to play in Group II next season.
King gave the guarantee less than a week after Yarde, the country’s most successful captain, was surprisingly relieved of his duties.
“My country is very important to me. I was raised like that and I am very glad to be playing for Barbados so I’m just going to keep at it and take in everyone’s teachings. Nothing will change for me as I always put my all into it,” said the 24-year-old world No.152. (JM)
