THE BARBADOS POSTAL SERVICE has sealed a silver award from the International Postal Union for a high standard of performance by its Express Mail Service (EMS).

The silver level certification for the inbound delivery of Express Mail in 2015 acknowledges the work of the department, which is its best performance ever for the year.

Postmaster General Margaret Ashby reminded the unit’s employees about the high bar set for meeting the international postal standards.

“The efficiency of individual postal administrations in facilitating the exchange of express items across international borders is the foundation for the success of the global Express Mail Service,” she said as she presented the award to employees of the unit on Tuesday. (GC)
