Dorsett’s time may be today

DEFENDING CHAMPION Daunting David and hot favourite Just A Fashion could both lose to a lurking Dorsett in the feature Diamonds International/Crown Of Light Boxing Day Stakes and Trophy over 1 570 metres at the Garrison Savannah today.

Should track conditions be soft following rains early last Thursday, this trio will ensure the Barbados Turf Club’s calendar year signs off in grand style. 

Dorsett, winless since the Gold Cup race, gave a commendable performance when finishing second to Just A Fashion in the ANSA McAL Barbados Stakes and Trophy at today’s trip. 

What Dorsett lacks in early speed will be enhanced should the conditions be soft, making the going slow. (LY)
