Vendor Bellamy remembers the kids
REMEMBER THE KIDS was the name of the party, and they had a time they would never forget.
It was a festive get-together in Queen’s Park, The City, for a number of youngsters drawn from various children’s homes across the island.
“This is something that I do every year but not at Christmas. I decided I was going to have one big event for the kids since I did not have one in Independence,” event coordinator Sharon Bellamy told the DAILY NATION.
Bellamy, also a popular fish vendor, said the children had jumping tents, a water slide, Santa and Mrs Claus, while there was singing, dancing and of course food to enjoy.
She thanked corporate Barbados for its donations, which made the event possible. (AD)
