‘Bold’ robbers

THEY HAVE NO RESPECT for the sacred space of the church.

That is what head of the Anglican Church, Bishop Dr John Holder (below) thinks of an emerging group in the society with no qualms about stealing and committing other criminal activity in the environs of churches. john-holder

Holder was speaking against the background of a recent robbery at the Sharon Moravian Church where an organist was physically assaulted and robbed by armed men who made good their escape in a wooded area at the back of the church with an iPad and music books. The robbery took place while service was going on.

“It is always a great concern when people steal,” he said. “That is a fact of life you are taking what is somebody’s property. (JS)
