Terminal taxi is Raphael’s solution
WHILE AN ESTIMATED 45 000 tourists would have arrived in the island over the last four days, the news is that those numbers did not translate into business for Bridgetown stores.
And following the complaints from some store owners about poor sales, taxi drivers in The City were largely singing a similar tune yesterday.
However, chairman of the Alliance of Owners of Public Transport, Roy Raphael (right), said the matter would be addressed.
Speaking to the MIDWEEK NATION, Raphael said the alliance was concerned about the taximen’s situation and was looking to meet with the transport authorities to find a solution. (AD)
