FIREWORKS APPEAR to have been the best thing out for Old Year’s 2016.

From the east to the north and the spots in between, Barbadians and visitors were captivated by the colourful displays which lit up the skies around midnight and for several minutes after.

The marathon rapid bursts at Hilton Barbados took the cake for the feters on the beach as the Light It Up party exploded, and at the same time provided a free visual feast for those several miles away in every direction.

In between the sparks and the showers from above, patrons ushered in 2017 with a sumptuous buffet to satisfy their stomachs’ desires and live music from Frank Mosbaugh, Biggie Irie, Mistah Dale and some top deejays. (YB)
