Vendors last day in West Coast Mall

YESTERDAY MARKED THE final chapter for businesses at the high-end West Coast Mall, and come October customers can expect a new and improved Massy superstore in its place.

Last year business owners and vendors were given notice to vacate the over 50-year-old location.

A scan of the St James mall revealed a large white padlocked door, where boxes of clothing were all over the place and vendors were scurrying around removing their items. They all had the same refrain: they were looking for a new place to set up shop.

One woman was concerned that a fellow small business operator would have to find another way to help her daughter complete medical school. (MR)
