IT TOOK A VILLAGE to clean up the premises of St Bernard’s Primary School yesterday.

After seeing overgrown bush almost take over the rural school in recent months, members of the Airy Hill, St Joseph community, some of whom were “the boys” from the “Airy Hill Jackers” block, took matters into their own hands.

Armed with cutlasses, weed whackers and hoes, the residents got out of their beds just after dawn to make sure the school surroundings were was spic and span ahead of the start of the new school term tomorrow. (TG)
