Redman: Congrats in order for teachers

AFTER BEING TAKEN to task for not wanting to work, says president of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU), Mary Redman, and accused of fabricating illness in some instances, teachers at Combermere School have been vindicated.

This follows almost two months of tests and cleaning at the Waterford, St Michael school following its closure in mid-November to investigate what had been causing teachers and students to fall ill.

Redman spoke yesterday to the small victory scored by her members after an extensive tour of the areas on the school compound.

“Certainly today (yesterday), and beyond today, what would have been reported to the parents in relation to the findings of the team of experts would certainly have vindicated the teachers,” Redman stated. (YB)
