Three receive top awards
IT’S OFFICIAL.
Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave yesterday knighted Sir Geoffrey Cave, Sir John Connell and Dame Selma Jackman during a ceremony at Government House for those receiving Independence honours as well as the Barbados Jubilee Honour.
Sir Geoffrey received the honour for outstanding contribution to business, Sir John Connell QC, for law and the protection of the environment, and Dame Selma, a surgeon, for her outstanding contribution to the medical profession.
