Dance show cut after backlash
SCRAPPED.
That is the latest twist in the dance competition that was being used to promote the Reggae Beach Splash party being held this Friday at Pirates Cove on Bay Street.
The promotion which was running on reggaesplash246 Instagram and Facebook for about a week was open to females, but the competition’s rules caught the ire of some Instagram users.
It was open to people 18 years and older while those under 16 years had to seek the permission of a parent or adult. Some comments claimed the competition was encouraging child pornography. (LK)
