ADD THE ISLAND’S LARGEST private sector union to those who are uneasily watching the sale of the Barbados National Terminal Company Ltd to the Sol Group of Companies.

The unease, said Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) General Secretary, Toni Moore, stems from the fact that the union has received no correspondence and no information on the sale and does not know what impact it might have on the workers employed at the government-owned entity.

Stressing that the BWU had a number of concerns, Moore said the union’s major beef was that it had learnt of the sale “in the public”.

“There has been no discussion with the Barbados Workers’ Union up to now,” she told the SUNDAY SUN yesterday. (HLE)
