Five on tour with WI blind cricket team
FIVE Barbadians have been selected to represent the West Indies in the upcoming Twenty20 Blind Cricket World Cup tour set to be held in Delhi, India.
They are Anthony Cummins, Mark Goddard, Ricardo Manning, Carl Sobers and Kci Ward-Ryan.
Two other Barbadians will perform the role of officials, with Stephenson Evelyn managing the team and Carrison Henry serving as medic.
The players are no strangers to “first-class cricket” having been a part of the last international tournament in 2012. They have also played numerous games at the regional level.
The West Indian team also include eight Jamaicans and will assemble in India tomorrow having left the Caribbean yesterday.
The tournament, which begins next Tuesday, runs until February 14. (RA)
