Foreign matter in school pipes

THERE APPEAR TO be other issues at Combermere School not related to the odours which have been making students and teachers ill.

The DAILY NATION understands that there was an issue with the sewerage system late last week because of a blockage.

According to the source, the system takes a feed from the secretary treasurer’s office, staff room and the principal’s office.

It is understood that balled up paper towels, paper and torn exercise books pages were found in the sewer pipes when the plumber was called in. (YB)
