Murder victim’s brother testifies
THE BROTHER of Anderson Ashby, who lost his life in a gun deal gone bad, recounted the details of that deadly night to the No. 5 Supreme Court yesterday.
Under questioning from prosecutor Principal Crown Counsel Elwood Watts, Christopher Ashby said he wanted to buy a gun and first had a discussion with his brother and an “Omar”, who was also known as Derek Springer.
He said he discussed the price with “Omar” and Dario Herbert, to whom he was introduced by Springer. The agreed price was $1 000.
Christopher said he did not have all the money, so he and his brother agreed to put together the funds and get the gun. (TKS)
