BARBADOS’ BEST junior players are being put at risk, says Barbados Badminton Association president Shari Hope.

She is livid with the Gymnasium Limited for leaving basketball hoops down at the Kensington Oval bond where badminton’s Junior National Championships are taking place.

Hope expressed her concern after finding the two basketball stanchions unmoved right between the badminton courts yesterday morning.

“We would have given the management of the Gymnasium notice that we wanted to use the bond for this Saturday and I came here at 9:30 [a.m.] to see that the basketball hoops are still up.

“We don’t have a problem if they are up but they are basically in between our courts right at the end of our lines,” she said.
