A PREGNANT WOMAN was one of several users that apparently got a ride of their lives while in an elevator at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) on Monday.
Natalie Brathwaite, 30 weeks pregnant, is claiming that when she boarded the lift on Monday afternoon at the Martindale’s Road institution, it dropped from the B floor to the ground.
Speaking to the MIDWEEK NATION from her hospital bed yesterday, she said the swift drop put “fear in her heart” about the safety of her child as she was on her way to visit a friend.
Recalling how things developed Brathwaite said: “After I press the button, I said that it was taking too long and I was going to walk up the stairs. Then the door open so I went in. When it stopped [at floor B] I thought it was stopping to open the door but it just jerk then sink right down and I was real, real scared,” she said. (TSG)
