THE LITTLE ONES at the Maria Holder Nursery School in Sharon, St Thomas, yesterday paid tribute to some of the outstanding black leaders in Barbados and the world.

It was part of the activities to recognise the annual African Awareness Month celebration.

The young students were able to show off all they learned about the “motherland” in an action-packed two-hour long showcase held at the school for staff, parents and friends.

There was dancing, singing, as well as an Afro Caribbean fashion show which gave the children a chance to display some of their beautiful African garb.

Those who attended also got a chance to view the children’s art pieces as well as an exhibition of artefacts. (SDB Media)
