Shutdown of Belle pumping station continues

THE BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY wishes to inform the public there will be another shutdown ‎of the Belle Pumping Station in St Michael on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 3 to 9 pm.

The shutdown is to facilitate the continuation of electrical upgrades and will impact residents and commercial ‎customers in parts of St Michael ‎and Christ Church. 

Low water pressure and outages may occur in the following areas in St. Michael: Pine Gardens, Wildey, Parkinson Field, Tichbourne, Chapel Gap and the surrounding areas.

In Christ Church, Fort George Heights, South District, St David’s, Edey Village, South Ridge and surrounding districts will also be affected.

The BWA is urging residents and businesses in these areas to store an adequate amount of water for the duration of the shutdown. Water tankers will be dispatched to assist.
