Betty catches the eye again

FASHION ICON Betty West is back with an eye-catcher.

Known for her daring fashion narratives, West will again bring a bit of tease to the stage when she introduces a cast of 21 young, dynamic models in Eye Catcher 11, a dance fashion cabaret at the Hilton Barbados Resort on March 5.

West’s glitzy and fast paced productions have carved a special memory in the minds of those who have followed her over the years. Now ten years since she last took to the spotlight, West is raising the curtain again.

“The reason for getting back in is that there are many young designers coming out of the Barbados Community College who are very creative. That is what is inspiring,” she explained.

She also said that many people thought the concept of a dance fashion cabaret was missing from the local entertainment scene.

“The show is not only modelling but dancing. There is also a young 15-year old singer with a voice out of this world. I am very excited,” said West.

The stage, managed by Neil Stanley, will see a cast of 31 comprising the models, singers and dancers.

The show starts at 8 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. (JS)
