Man charged with damaging ATM remanded
ANDERSON REID won’t be making any ATM withdrawals over the next month.
Reid, 38, of Woodstock Road, Spooners Hill, St Michael, was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Dodds today, after being arraigned on charges of criminal damage to an ATM machine.
Upon appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court, Reid was remanded until April 7 by Magistrate Graveney Bannister.
Reid became the talk of the town on Friday when his hands and legs were bound with wire as part of a citizen’s arrest.
According to police reports, around 6:45 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a man committing damage to an ATM machine on the compound of Carlton A1 Supermarket, along Black Rock, St Michael.
Reid was apprehended by two men performing maintenance work on the compound and handed over to the police. (BA)
