SOMEONE ONCE SUGGESTED that age is but a number, and the island’s newest centenarian says it’s all about how you feel.

Sheila Dorothea Armstrong was feeling quite vigorous when Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave paid a visit to help celebrate her birthday yesterday.

There was never a dull moment with Armstrong as her children, Richard and Dorothea “Dolly” Armstrong, joined with friends, Member of Parliament Edmund Hinkson and church members from The Tent Gathering, at Crick Hill, St James, to honour her.

“I may be 100 but I ain’t stupid,” she told those present.

Armstrong gave Sir Elliott advice on marriage, pension, his knees, young people, retirement, current affairs and how to treat a lady. (SDB Media)
