Barbados CARIFTA Team named, but no Mary Fraser
MARY FRASER is not in the 28-member Barbados team for the CARIFTA Games in Curacao, April 15 to 17.
Fraser, the 2015 Austin Sealy Trophy winner, did not compete at the National Junior Championships and also failed to qualify in any of her distance events at subsequent meets.
Exciting Under-18 sprinters Darian Clarke and Akayla Morris have gained selection on the squad, which will have Adrian Thorne as head coach.
The experienced sprinter Tristan Evelyn, who is on an overseas scholarship, is also included as well as fellow United States-based hurdler, Tai Browne.
Coleridge & Parry’s Shanice Hutson will also make her debut, competing in the throws of the Under-18 division.
