Four teams triumph in Barbados Cup

IT WAS ALL action at the Parkinson Resource Centre when the finals of the Barbados Cup were staged on Friday.

The tournament, which featured youth sides ranging from the Under-11 to Under-17 categories, provided the platform for many a player to shine in the afternoon sun; and shine they did.

Pinelands’ Under-11s defended their home patch with aplomb, running out 4-0 winners over Silver Sands in their final.

Kamaal Bryan opened the scoring in the third minute to the home supporters’ delight, followed quickly by Kiko Wade, who was on target in the tenth.

Karim Wade added a third for Pinelands in the 13th minute, before Amezo Jordan finished off the scoring three minutes later to cap a convincing win for Pinelands.
