BE CAREFUL for whom you sign bail.

This was the advice of some attorneys in light of the case of a woman who signed bail for a Guyanese national and is now facing possible forfeiture of $175 000.

“Standing bail is a serious obligation . . . . The reason you know it is serious is because you know you are asked to put your worth, your assets, on the line. Accused Davanand Outar was jointly charged with four others with possession and trafficking of 42.2 kilogrammes of cocaine on March 31, 2011. (TKS)
