JOMEL WARRICAN completed a five-wicket haul as two left arm spinners shared eight wickets to lead Barbados Pride to a narrow 26-run win over the Jamaica Scorpions on a final day of pulsating action at Kensington Oval yesterday.

It was a fitting end to the regional first class season at Kensington as the Scorpions, set 341 to win, fell for 314, 45 minutes after lunch on the final day of the Digicel Regional Four Day tenth round contest.

Warrican took five for 87 from 26.1 overs while Sulieman Benn bagged three for 90 from 24 overs.

Fabian Allen put on a stunning display of hitting to smash 60 off 46 balls but Warrican and Benn admirably withstood the pressure to seal the victory that assured Barbados a second place finish behind champions Guyana Jaguars. (PH)
